Decided to take some time out to have a look at Biztalk 2010. Instead of jumping straight in with CRM 2011 i decided to learn the process with CRM 4.0
First obstacle i came across was that the CRM 4.0 doesnt install with Biztalk 2010 (Only on 2006!)
The workaround to this is the following (Taken from a MS rep on the MS Forums)
Workaround:
Just before the installation of the crm4 bts adapter, take the registry backup for the following entry and modify the value as pointed. After the crm adapter is installed, revert the registry change.
64 bit machine:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\BizTalk Server\3.0 change ProductName = "Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010"
to ProductName = "Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006"
for 32 bit machines it should be under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\BizTalk Server\3.0
The adapter should have no problem installing after this.
