CRM2011: You do not have necessary permissions to change the domain logon name for this user. error

Came across the above error this morning, It was appearing when we were trying to add a new user to a freshly installed CRM server at a clients site.

The solution was found online.

You have to set the AutoGroupManagement value to 1 from the following registry location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
